Show Us the Video of Cho
What do they have to hide? The guy's dead, for crying out loud.
If Cho was not a Muslim, why not post the entire video and all of the other documents, and put all the speculation to rest? The fact that so much is being withheld certainly makes one suspicious, no? Could the authorities be holding back because there are Islamic ties shown in the videos and they are afraid of a backlash?
I say, let the truth out and let the chips fall where they may.

Or perhaps the networks are simply concered of FURTHER public backlash from showing the limited footage they did in the first place.
They could be holding it back because it's part of an ongoing police investigation? They could be holding it back out of sensitivity to his parents, or to the survivors, or to victims parents. Yet you jump to the islamic conclusion, ignoring all other possibilities, on the basis of what he had written on his arm?
If Cho was a muslim, it'd be the first thing they'd say. It'd be the current administrations wet dream to have another islamic attack this close to elections. Keep the American public in fear, remind them that neither they or their children are safe, and continue to hold support for their "war on terror".
What backlash would they be afraid of from muslims? you don't think what is happening in the Middle East ranks slightly higher on extremists 'Reasons to attack America' lists than showing a video of a mass murderer, who, if he was Islamic, would be turned into a martyr anyway?
Honestly this post is pure xenophobia in it's prime. Keep spreadin the hate & ignorance Jeff...
And before anyone jumps to the standard response of insults of being a towel head, or a commy, or anything of the sort, I'm neither and I don't subscribed to any particular religion. In fact I'm aethiest.
Marc,
Even if everything you say is true (and I do not agree with all of it), why not release the information if all it shows is a disturbed loner? If it's not being released because there is an ongoing police investigation, then why are the police not saying that openly?
I question whether the networks are using the public reaction to their initial airing of Cho's videos as an excuse to avoid making the rest of it public. That would make sense if my theory is correct that the unreleased portions show that Cho had ties to Islam.
BTW, there are reports coming out now from police who have seen the transcripts of Cho's videos that he was quoting verses from the Koran:

Well, if that's the case, then that's the case. My argument isn't that 'a muslim wouldn't do such things' or even that the evidence is that he wasn't a muslim.
My argument is with the fact that the people on this site jumped to the islamic conclusion straight away with little to no connection. Ismail ax is a real dubious indication of anything.
when you see the fighting in the middle east...remember these "few" facts..
Only twice in Jerusalem's history has the city served as a national capital. The first time was as the capital of the two Jewish Commonwealths during the First and Second Temple periods, as described in the Bible, reinforced by archaeological evidence and numerous ancient documents. The second time is in modern times as the capital of the State of Israel. It has never served as an Arab capital for the simple reason that there has never been a Palestinian Arab state.
No matter where Jews lived throughout the world for those two millennia, their thoughts and prayers were directed toward Jerusalem. Even today, whether in Israel, the United States or anywhere else, Jewish ritual practice, holiday celebration, and lifecycle events include recognition of Jerusalem as a core element of the Jewish experience. Consider that:
Jews in prayer always turn toward Jerusalem.
Arks (the sacred chests) that hold Torah scrolls in synagogues throughout the world face Jerusalem.
Jews end Passover Seders each year with the words: "Next year in Jerusalem"; the same words are pronounced at the end of Yom Kippur, the most solemn day of the Jewish year.
A three-week moratorium on weddings in the summer recalls the breaching of the walls of Jerusalem by the Babylonian army in 586 BCE. That period culminates in a special day of mourning - Tisha B'Av (the 9th day of the Hebrew month Av) - commemorating the destruction of both the First and Second Temples.
Jewish wedding ceremonies - joyous occasions, are marked by sorrow over the loss of Jerusalem. The groom recites a biblical verse from the Babylonian Exile: "If I forget thee, O Jerusalem, let my right hand forget her cunning," and breaks a glass in commemoration of the destruction of the Temples.
Even body language, often said to tell volumes about a person, reflects the importance of Jerusalem to Jews as a people and, arguably, the lower priority the city holds for Muslims:
When Jews pray they face Jerusalem; in Jerusalem Israelis pray facing the Temple Mount.
When Muslims pray, they face Mecca; in Jerusalem Muslims pray with their backs to the city.
Even at burial, a Muslim face is turned toward Mecca.
Finally, consider the number of times "Jerusalem" is mentioned in the two religions' holy books:
The Old Testament mentions 'Jerusalem' 349 times. Zion, another name for 'Jerusalem,' is mentioned 108 times.
The Quran never mentions Jerusalem - not even once.
Regardles of what the intentions are/were with Mr. Cho and his Psychological problems and connection to Islam, there is one thing to remember. The western civilization is at WAR with Islam, simply put, Islam and the West do not mix like iron and clay its a clash of civilizations. Why would our government try to hide this from us? Well stupid, a country that lives in fear is not good for the economy...although in the long run, the usa would be wise to be "paranoid"
